Holdfasts, magical forms of the sea, are the inspiration for this bronze sculpture jewelry. Cast in bronze, each necklace is unique, hand finished and initialed. A pebble from Tom's beach enclosed in each bell gives each a unique ring and enables you to carry a piece of the islands with you.

What are holdfasts?
Bull Kelp grows along our island shores. On the water's surface are long, green fronds attached to floating bulbs with stalks that reach to the sea floor. Holdfasts are the roots of these stalks holding fast to rocks so the kelp can survive the buffeting of tides and storms.
