![]() The Galapageians by Tom PembertonBronze on Walnut Base • Edition of 40 • H 10” • $6500
A young two-legged mermaid is affectionately stroking a smiling marine iguana, while a jealous green sea turtle is pulling her hair trying to attract her attention. The octopus is lovingly draping his tentacles on the mermaid. The seal does not like the octopus and is barking at him; however, there is a cocked tentacle behind the seal ready to slap his rump. The booby is stretching a worm-like tentacle, but the octopus has a coiled tentacle on the rock ready to enlighten the booby. Under the overhanging rock, another iguana is hiding. The seaweed in the mermaid’s hair is sargassum weed and all flora and fauna are indigenous to the Galapagos Islands. For questions on ordering or for more information contact
