The Pathfinder by Tom PembertonBronze on Walnut Base • Edition of 24 • H 8” • $495
A life size bit of whimsy depicting a Signifier of the First Cohort of the Mill Pond Mounted Brigade, the Emperor’s Own Marsh Guards. He holds aloft the imperial parasol of his great emperor, Frogustus Maximus. His mount, not impressed with the importance of his rider, sleepily chews on a kernel of corn. The Pathfinder is finished in the classical manner with patina (color) applied with a torch and brush. The surface is then waxed and polished by hand. A Waldron Island miniature pumpkin grown by Joel and Margaret Thorson of Thousand Flower Farm is the pattern for the parasol. For questions on ordering or for more information contact
